The Fox & Hounds is a contemporary traditional English country pub featuring home-cooked British food, real ales and wine. We source our food locally and prepare it fresh — our Sunday Lunch, Fish & Chips and Steak & Stilton Pie are firm favourites with regulars and visitors alike.
Outside you'll find a large beer garden and terrace, and we're delighted to accommodate parties and groups, with private hire available for The Orangery and Terrace. We sit in historic Nottinghamshire, close to major attractions and heritage walks, with ample parking on site.
Est. Early 1800s
We served our first pint in October 2001, but the building itself goes back much further. Originally a farmhouse in the days when Blidworth Bottoms was a far larger community, it became a public house in the early 1800s — though the exact date has been lost to time.
Local legend has it that the original Fox and Hounds Beer House operated from a nail maker's shop before relocating to the premises we call home today.
