THE HISTORY OF THE PUB

Our company was established in October of 2001 and has been serving outstanding beers and home cooked food ever since. Of course the Fox and Hounds is a lot older than that and has been trading on this site since the early part of the nineteenth century. The building dates back to the early part of the nineteenth century when it was first used as a farmhouse. In those days Blidworth Bottoms was a much larger community with it's own shops and village life.

HISTORY OF THE PUB

The exact date when this building became a public house remains a mystery although it is said the Fox and Hounds Beer House was originally close nearby in a nailmaker's shop before moving to the current larger premises, the beer must have been good because the shop isn't there anymore.
